Great news! I am willing to share my car. Contact me via PM.
Test versions for the brand new KIA APP and HYUNDAI APP are ready:
NEW
- Fully rewritten code from the ground up for better stability and maintainability.
- Supports new cars
- Supports new features and Homey Energy
IMPORTANT:
- This app only works on Homey Cloud or Homey Pro 2024. It DOES NOT run on older Homeys at the moment.
- It can be installed alongside the existing Kia and Hyundai app.
- Existing cars cannot be migrated to the new app.
It is still in test phase, so lease let me know what you think or find bugs ![]()
Great, my Kona is up and running again. First look shows updated statussen which were not available in de Kia en Hyundai app for my model.
When adding a new device, typing Hyundai in the search bar didnât show the app. I could only scroll through the available apps to select the Hyundai app.
So, thanks for the update.
Ok, guess I should add some search tags ![]()
These apps use official api connection to Kia & Hyundai servers?
Since I have older homey (pro 2019) I try to install the (Kia) app on homey cloud (online). The app installs, but I cannot add a car device (shows red exclamation mark on device to be added).

Yeah, weird. When I test Homey cloud from my development machine it works. But when I install it from the app store it doesnât⌠Think I need to fetch help from Athom.
Ah thx! Will fix that.
Mmh. Just retry later or try via a webbrowser
Installed new app and added both my niro evâs without issues.
Think i found a odd behavior with the car update button. When force updating it dont want to do what it is supposed to first time.on one of my cars i had to push it 3 times and one one it needed 2 times. Not shire why but i sent a diag for you.
No, once is enough. It just takes a minute for the car to respond. I need to change the button so you see it is still updating though.
That was what i thought on first car also but then when i tried it on second one i waited a looooong time and nothing. Untill i did it 2 more times and then it got updated.
I have both old and new apps installed at same time.. something tells me they do not like each other maybe? This happened i noticed after installing the new one compared to prior.
I dont see the image. But a problem could be that both apps try to poll at the same time, or that the combined polls exceed the rate limit. Better temporarily disable one of the apps.
For some reason it didnt want to upload the image .. anyway. What is on it is the log on the old app it say. Error : can not read undefined property (getLogs)
Going to disable the old app and do some testing on it ![]()
Interesting. Stil acts upp but a litle diff. Now when i push the update button it stay lit and nothing changes. The official kia app when i try to update there it say remote service ongoing try later. Looks like something happens on kia side when the app does something but cant finish for some reason. Hmm took 5 min todo a update for some reason but it did finish
New version 1.1.0 of both apps has been published as test:
- Removed Homey Cloud compatibility.
- Updated icons.
- Refresh button state fix.
- Minor improvements
Homey cloud appears to be using the same old Node version that HP16/19 are using, so Cloud is disabled until Node gets an upgrade ![]()
IMPORTANT: You must delete and re-add your car(s) when you used previous test versions.
Any idea if and when this upgrade is coming? Also on HP19?
