Hi, I can not see if a device is connected anymore? Cards like is Mac address connected, is name connected of is IP address connected stopped working. I reconnected the app, even created a new user on the fritz!box with sufficient privileges, but nothing seems to work. Can I download and install an older 0.9 version? To check if this is something in 10.x ?
Hi, as far as i know its not possible - sorry for the inconvenience with the new version.
I submitted an quick fix on the test-branche, could you check if v0.10.2 works again ? @mravensberg
Hi, thanks 10.2 fixed my issue! @puschie
Sorry for the delay - works like a charm! Thank you!
Hi There,
I just sucessfully installed this app on the homey pro, and I would like to know the amount of registered devices on the network. Is this possible?
I already registered a new user account in Fritzbox, and the app on the homey tells me that everything was fine:)
Hope to hear from you,
Hi,
currently there is no easy way to count the number of connected devices. What do you want to achieve ? it seems a bit strange to me that you need this kind of information ![]()
you have trigger for device connected/disconnected and conditions for checking if a specific device is currenlty connected (by ip, mac or name).
Thank for your answer.
I would like the system to detect whether someone is home so that the heating can turn on automatically. If no one is present, it should turn off again. Additionally, friends occasionally stay over, but I don’t want to have to register all their devices for the system to work properly.
Hi, I try tot connect my homey pro with the Fritxbox bridge app (V0.10.3)to my fritzbox 4040 router (software 7.59) , but somehow I cannot get it to work.
In the configure screen from the app it only shows “Errorlogin” and the debug button shows “Error requesting information”
I restarted the app and also the homey pro several times.
I created a new user homey in my router, allowed for “Fritz!box settings” and for “Smart home”.
In the Fritzbox router I see the logins from homey and no fault messages.
I cannot figure out what goes wrong here…
Try also https://192.168.178.1
Just tried that with https://192.168.178.1, now it seems to wait forever (there is some circling thing over the save changes button, that keeps turning forever). Also tried http, but also doesn’t work.
Restarted app and homey, but no succes.
Strange thing though is that I see succesfull logins in the evenlog of the Fritzbox 4040, with the user I created for this purpose (user homey). But it doesn’t work for some reason. I hope anyone has some other idea.
After a lot of testing, it turned out that some api endpoints are missing if your fritzbox doesnt support DECT.
So the new version change a few things to support fritzbox router without DECT support. The detection is automaticly so there is no action required.
changes in the v0.10.5 version:
- support fritzbox without DECT support
- detail error messages when DECT is not supported or disabled
- seperate options for enable/disable smart home & network requests
- fix error message localization in settings
I have created a flow, that can see from my phone ip address if I am home. only it apparently loses the connection every time, so I get a message every time. when I look at the times, this happens at fixed times. who knows what this is due to?
Hi there,
after updating Homey to 12.4.5 (up to 12.4.7) the FritzDECT 301/302 can not controlled anymore. Setting new temperature results in this message:
Missing Capability Listener: target_temperature
Can you look at this issue and provide a fix?
Greetings,
David
@dferch Hi, got multiple reports about this problem. Currently i have trouble to investiage this because it doesnt seems to happen in my setup.
Its a bit strange because the “universal” driver/device should checks for missing capabilitites and register them if they are missing on startup.
Could you provide debug logs for further investigation ? (Apps → Fritzbox Bridge → Settings → Send diagnostic report)
Are there any plans to support additional smart home devices, such as door sensors?
Also, is it possible to add a device by entering its IP address directly? In my case, I have a Fritzbox in a different VLAN (connected via a permanent WireGuard VPN), but it is accessible from the main network where my Homey is located.
Hi @Michael_Fritzsche ,
all DECT based devices should be supported. If you have any devices that are supported by the Fritzbox itself but not by Fritzbox Bridge, please let me know (but keep in mind, my options are limited by fritzbox provided api).
All fritzbox compatible smart home devices uses the DECT standard for communication (so its not related to your IP-Network)
It is related, because the remote fritz box is in another vlan and will not be found by discovery. I would have to enter the IP, but with the current implementation, i cannot.
Oh, you are talking about another fritzbox. Currenlty, only one fritzbox is supported (could be implemented in future but require some restructure).
IP addresses can be used for the fritzbox connection.
i wanted to connect a remote location with a separate fritz box, but permanent tunnel
Hello, finally i found this thread about Fritz/DECT integrations. A few days ago i added my FritzBox 7490 including 4 type Fritz DECT 200 plugs. The switching function seems perfect, but other device data like the power consumption was seen once at first connection but was never updated. Any hint to solve this?
