[APP][Pro] Apple TV & HomePod

Hi Bas,

Solved here as well! Never considered that disabling the access code would help.
Thanks for the quick response!

I ve tried it with 4 different Homepod Minis. They Are not pairing, it Looks Like a pairing loop. It spins and spins. Here is my report. 3fe636b9-333e-488d-a83d-14611a492b5c

Thanks @Bas the latest version is better - have now managed to pair all but two of my HomePod Minis. The last two repeatedly time out on the final step of being added. Another diagnostic in case this helps: dee89a38-b7e3-4328-9d55-5719a66cbe9e

EDIT: HomePod Mini model number is MJ2C3B/A (both of them)

Where to deactivate that?? I cant find any settings about that?

@Jonathan_Draper Between those HomePods, do you know if there are any different settings maybe?

@Chris86 Can you maybe check if there are any software updates available from the Home app on your iPhone / iPad? The setting is only there for Apple TV’s as far as I know.

There is no Update, I am on 26.2 HomePod and iPhone?

Could you give where can find this settings?

only know for AppleTV. Don’t have a HomePod

I’ve scoured the settings and can’t see any clues. The HomePods that have paired include ones that are identical model number, software version, primary user etc as those that didn’t pair. And all are set up stand alone not stereo pair, all on same wifi.

EDIT: just tried again on 1.0.18 and the same two still don’t pair

Ok I tested on the ver 1.0.18

With and Apple TV 4K gen 1 and and Apple TV 4K gen 2 i have another Apple TV but is not connected yet

I got the same result it ask for the code but the Apple TV dont display a code

Let me know what other information you need

@BasMilius not sure if you’re working with @Mojento in the end but with his test app, I can pair all my HomePod Minis straight away so there might be a clue there in terms of how the pairing works

have you tried to disable accesscode?

@Jonathan_Draper From your diagnostics report I can see that one of the HomePods is giving a authentication error. I’ve just pushed version 1.0.19, that removes an unneeded step in the pairing process, maybe that will work.

Regarding your other post, I sent a DM with an invitation to talk from the 7th of january, because I’m on vacation. Haven’t received a response though…

@Casi_22 Please confirm that AirPlay access is enabled for everyone on the same network. In the Settings app go to AirPlay & HomeKit and check there.

If it still doesn’t work, please send a diagnostics report right after an attempt so I can see if there are any errors…

@Matteo_Foroni Settings app → AirPlay & HomeKit

Yes air play is anable for everyone on the same network and home kit is set

I cut not find how to sent a PM so I will post the code her 6e42c9bb-5478-4494-89f0-070b96d704bb

I’m on a little holiday in Norway, Tromsø

What a beautiful place! We have wonderful memories here.
Enjoy the breathtaking Northern Lights! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@BasMilius 1.0.19 seems to have fixed it for me - thank you. Both remaining HomePod minis paired very quickly without issue. Nice work.
