[APP][Pro] Ajax Security System - Make Ajax alarms part of your smart home

Could you try the test version and see if that fixes it.

Unfortunately I need more information, there’s a better diagnostic function in the app settings. If you send that to me via a DM I’ll be better able to help. I’d first recommend trying the test version, might be fixed there already

I just installed that and will see if it is fixed tonight when i get home.

it did update to the armed state though.

i keep you up to date

im guessing all is working?

Hi Mike,

i have installed the test version on friday. And the arm/disarm status did update in realtime on friday evening and Saturdaymorning. On saturday at 14:19 it failed to update to disarm.

And it did not update to night mode at 22:10.

i will send you the logs in a DM.

I have version 1.0.677

When i reboot the app it does pull trough the current status

Thanks for asking

I’m having trouble disarming the alarm… it always worked well with the flows – I have the latest version.

There’s a bug, should be fixed in the latest test version. Hopefully thall be pushed live soon, but meanwhile you could install that test version.

Hello @MikeTango ,

I think I’ve run into something that may not be configured quite correctly yet.

One of the siren batteries is almost empty. When I try to arm the alarm directly through Ajax, I have to do it twice because the first time it reports a malfunction. The second time, the alarm arms successfully.

However, with Homey it does not work. I get the following message:

“Ajax security command rejected: hub_detected_malfunctions”

In the app settings, I have enabled “Allow forced arming”, but I still cannot arm the alarm through Homey.

Thank you.

This is correct behavior, ajax shouldn’t arm cause of the risk that the battery will be empty if you keep postponing replacing or charging it. If you really wanted to you can use “Force arm” Flow card to do so.

Hello @MikeTango ,

I’ve recently ran into an issue with the Ajax app.

All my devices are showing as No response in Homey. If I try to repair the hub I get an error saying “Error: unkown_error_getting_files”.

I’ve tried restarting the app but it doesn’t help.

Is there any way to resolve the issue without re-installing the app?

Diagnostic ID: 8d1f82d7-0d68-4bdd-87b7-1d9c372f457b

New version is uploaded and should work again. It uses a little less communication towards ajax servers (most likely reasson they blackilisted)

Guessing this got resolved with the new update as well ?

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the report. Your SIA settings are saved fine. The app can’t open port 2027 because something else on your Homey is already using it. That is why it shows “not configured”; I’ll change that message in the next update.

Could you try these steps?

  1. Check whether another app on your Homey uses port 2027, for example another alarm or SIA receiver app.
  2. Restart the whole Homey, not just the app, to clear any leftover process.
  3. If it still fails, choose a different port in the app, such as 5000. Then update the same port in the Ajax app under the monitoring station settings.

For the door contacts: does one of the affected detectors have the “External contact” option enabled in the Ajax app? Homey currently counts an open external contact as an open door, while Ajax shows it separately. If you could send an export from the app settings, under Diagnostics then Export, I can confirm it. (best to DM that)

Greets,

Mike

Hi Mike,

The SIA works. Are was another app on my homey from AJAX. So now poort 2027 is for this AJAX app.

But the contacts are not with an extern contact. Also my switches from AJAX for lights say the lights are on but they are off. If I push one time the lights don’t go off so i have to push two times fast on the on button in Homey..?

I have also 2 transmitters from AJAX with a lot of smoke, door en motion detectores from another brand thats why the transmitters from AJAX.

Hi Mike,

Also the transmitters he don’t see it. It is not part of the family Homey says.

I have two transmitters with each a zone of 15-18.

Also multirelais from ajax.

Hi Mike,
I would like to provide some additional information regarding the issues I reported earlier.
I have now updated the Ajax Security System app to version 1.0.700 and completely restarted my Homey Pro. Unfortunately, the problems remain.
1. Ajax LightSwitch – incorrect status and control
I have three Ajax LightSwitches, all showing incorrect states in Homey.
For example, with my LightSwitch called “Keukentafel” (Kitchen Table):

  • I can turn the light on and off normally using the Ajax app.

  • When the light is on, I can successfully turn it off using Homey. The physical light actually turns off.

  • However, after approximately 1–2 seconds, Homey automatically changes the displayed state back to ON.

  • The physical light remains OFF.

  • Because Homey incorrectly believes the light is already ON, I cannot turn it back on using the normal Homey switch.

In the Homey device activity history, I repeatedly see:

  • “Turned off by Web”

  • Followed immediately by “Turned on by Ajax Security System”

This suggests that the device state is being incorrectly updated or overwritten by the integration.
2. Ajax wireless door contacts – incorrect contact status
All my wireless Ajax door contacts continuously show “Contact alarm: Yes” in Homey, even when the doors are closed.
In the official Ajax app, opening and closing these contacts is detected immediately and correctly.
3. Fibra MultiTransmitters
I also have Ajax Fibra MultiTransmitters with 18 wired zones, connected to third-party smoke detectors, magnetic contacts and other detectors.
These detectors are individually visible in the Ajax app, but I cannot find or add them as separate devices in Homey.
4. SIA receiver
The previous port conflict has been resolved by removing the other Ajax Homey app.
The current diagnostics show:

  • Local SIA receiver listening on port 2027

  • Encryption enabled

  • Received events: 0

  • Ajax connection healthy

  • 1 hub online, 46 devices detected

Could you please investigate whether the integration is incorrectly processing or overwriting device states, and whether individual Fibra MultiTransmitter zones are supported?
I can provide an updated Homey diagnostic report if needed.
Thank you for your help!

The update solved it  Thank you for the quick help!

Thanks Marc,

Could you install the latest version and send me a diagnostic report (via the app, so not the normal diagnostic report from homey you’ve send before. To send the report you’ll have to share it via weshare or iCloud/onedrive and DM me the link)

Hi! There was support for homey pro 2018 before, but now there is none. Is there a plan to return? This integration is very necessary.

Hi everyone,

Homey updated the app at 1.0.701.

I have a DoorProtect with an external magnetic contact for the Garage Door, and now I am not able to receive any contact status. It has worked as a charm for months…

Of course in the Ajax app it appears with no problem. But in the Ajax Security System Homey App, the last status update was from 2 days ago (before the app update).

I have other DoorProtect in homey (without external sensor) and they still work great.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks a lot
