I have spent the last 25 years working with consumer home automation on a variety of platforms including HAL2000, HomeSeer, Indigo and Hubitat. I started with X-10 and have (for the most part) migrated to Z-Wave devices for my lighting, HVAC, Garage Doors, Door lock and water sensors. My primary reason for shifting to each platform has typically been based on instability and sometimes feature set. My latest shift from Hubitat has definitely been based on stability considerations.
