Where did you find the update? I don’t see any update available on my side, and the Plant is still not working for me. Could you point me to where exactly you got it or which version you’re on?

Thanks for your reply. I was keen to help, as I need third party inverter integration and the ability to change operating modes to fully automate my battery. Unfortunately, this is a bit beyond me. Hopefully someone with more experience can work it out and give you a hand.

My Modbus is enabled, but I get get “connection timout “ when trying to add a device.

@Richard_B thank you very much for the added support for The 3rd party inverter. Very Nice. Any idea how this solar Production can be shown in The Energy Dashboard of Homey?

It should be shown automatically. Which devices did you add? You need the inverter, a possible battery and an energy meter to show everything correctly.

Don’t use the plant device by itself.

The inverter is added however it’s correct that it doesn’t show any production as all solar is coming from 3rd party inverters connected to the smartport of the gateway. So the plant does show the correct numbers of solar production (inverter + smartport) but this is not shown in the Energy dashboard

For some days Sigenergy has been unavailable

I have checked and pinged the system and the IP-address is correct. I find Modbus TCP settings in SigEnergy app being disabled!

Anyone with same experience and ideas of how to restore?

EDIT: Enable Modbus TCP Server setting in SigEnergy App was the solution, don’t know why this was disabled :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yesterday was a Sigenstor 3*BAT.10 + 15 kW Inv installed at our residence.
Late in the afternoon it became operational.
This morning I’m receiving EVERY minute a notification of Low on Battery (19%) how do I kill this?
Or better, change it to another percentage?

First of al tanks for the development of the app!

I have a question, i tried to reproduce the graph from the sigenergy phone app but if i take the values from the plant device then the battery and the consumtion are calculated different. The solarenergy and grid are the same.

Where the graph in the sigenergy phone app give a positive value when the battery is delivering enegy then the homey app give’s a negative value, that same aply’s for the consumption. What is the reason behind that?

And is it posible to see the Wattage of my strings of solar pannels individual on homey ? Not that i use that very often but i just like graphs

I also noticed that if i only use power from the grid that my home consumption and grid usage are aprox 100W different, acording trough the phone sigenergy app they are the same.

Today we got out Sigenergy system installed and the configuration in the homey app worked from the first try! Simply amazing!

One feature request.

I like having all my devices configured and have them saved to Favourites. For the battery I would prefer to see the status as percentage. Now I can only set the Battery as an icon. A new property could be introduced named “Battery Indicator” which would represent the battery actual percentage level.

In the photos below, you can see via Homey that the battery is discharging at 11,727 W.

According to both the Homey dongle and the Sigenergy gateway, this load is distributed evenly across three phases.

However, when looking at the battery data in Homey, it shows 16.05 A on L1 and almost nothing on L2 and L3.

You would expect the battery output in Homey to be distributed across three phases as well—or am I overlooking something here?

I think we have to turn to Athom for this. There are certain mandatory capabilities for device types, such as measure_battery for the battery device type.

I have to follow Athoms rules for devices otherwise features like Homey Energy wont work.

Home batteries should have the measure_power capability. This represents the real-time power consumption of the home battery in Watts. Provide positive values to indicate the battery is consuming power (charging), provide negative values to indicate the battery is delivering power back to the home (discharging).

I read what is available in Modbus: no processing. I have noticed the difference as well, and from what I can tell, the self-consumption and energy loss are ignored in the Sigenergy native apps. No option for me to do that unless Sigenergy changes what they deliver via the Modbus registries.

This is fixed in the lastest Homey firmware and apps, I now see the battery status image as before as well as a %.

Not sure I follow; the inverter’s daily yield is available in Homey Insights.

The below are the Modbus values I’m reading; no processing or calculations are performed on those fields. I guess there could be a number of reasons for the difference. Three-phase system, Retrofit, etc. Looking at my live values, I notice this is rather Inverter voltage and current, not battery. My battery is idle, but I export from solar to gird and have even 14A in the L1-L3 current. Will look into where the fields belong, most likely the inverter then.

I just noticed that one of my widgets showing battery phase currents didn’t work anymore. When trying to re-add them I noticed that they wasn’t available anymore as sensors for the battery (below is how it looked before the update).

After that I checked the app updates and noticed below change/update;

"0.3.1 July 8, 2026

Moved phase voltage and phase current (L1/L2/L3) from the Battery unit to the Inverter unit, where they belong."

If I understand correctly, this means I cannot see the battery phases anymore? Or is it any other way?

They were never battery phases, they were inverter phases. It is very mixed in a SigenStor stack which is what. The inverter device should be possible to add for both a SigenStor stack and hybrid inverters as Sigenergy calls them.
