So, not so easy since for my Kia with latest head unit firmware (major upgrade last week) the option with steering wheel heater is combined with mirror and rear window. Besides that, these options have not been fully reverse engineered it seems. But I will try to dig in further.

Ok did some testing (and ran into the daily quota both yesterday and today because of all my testing :unamused:)

In my Kia the steering wheel heater is turned on together with the rear window and side mirrors when using the UVO app.
In the Homey app the existing DEFROST is already working to switch this on. Can you check if that is also the case for you? And does the defrost together with steering wheel heater on fit your use case?

@Henric_Ask Many thx for your kind donation! Much appreciated :kissing_heart:

@Ray_Godjord Hi Ray, do you have any feedback for me on this?

Hi there. I Will try tomorrow.

@Gruijter yes! I have tested the DEFROST option with my Hyundai Ioniq 5. It is how you assumed, the steering wheel get heated with the DEFROST switch. Thanx, this will be good now when winter is coming.

v2.6.0 is coming up in the store soon (already available now as test version)

  • bluelinky@7.4.1.
  • Improved defrost control.
  • Add official app language select (EU only).

It bumps the package to a new version. This usually increases stability and compatibility with different car types.

Furthermore I have added the possibility to set the language of the official Bluelink / Uvo app. When using the Homey app it would force the official app to use English language (don’t ask me why, that is how Hyundai/Kia designed their interface). It is now possible to select form a number of languages in the advanced device settings:

‘cs’, ‘da’, ‘nl’, ‘en’, ‘fi’, ‘fr’, ‘de’, ‘it’, ‘pl’, ‘hu’, ‘no’, ‘sk’, ‘es’, ‘sv’

Have phun with the new version!

Hey Robin

I do not think this is just the new version of the app on test. But i had a odd litle behavior today. I was doing a force update and it locked itself in that state. When i checked in the log i get this.

[err] 2021-09-05 14:03:32 [uvo] [dev] doPoll failed Cannot read property ‘find’ of undefined

As you know i have 2 kia cars. The other car stil worked as it should doing update. What i also noticed was that the uvo app had same issue exept that it said it couldnt reach the car. So i turned on the car and then both apps could talk to the car again.

So i gues here that your missing some type of respons from the kia api saying i didnt reach the car.

I could however press the update button to turn the button state off and do again so to say just no active status respons.

Best regards
Ted

Small question; should I first send my desired temperature, and then turn on ac? Should there be a delay between the two commands in a flow?

Good question. I think you need to turn on AC first, then set a new temperature. You might need to set a delay of 1 or 2 minutes before giving the temperature command. You can try from the controls manually. If that works it works the same from a flow.

By the way: AC will also be turned on when activating defrost. So when doing defrost there is no need to separately switch the AC on.

What did you end up with as a working way?
I’ll do it this way now:

But getting a notification from the bluelink app after the flow has ran: [Alarm] Target temperature not available.

Hmm Im trying to use this app. I can add my Kia 2021 Sorento Hybrid to the system. It works sometimes with information but most of the time its just a red arrow and saying that the Device is restarting. I have removed it/readded it. Same bahviour. Also pressing the Refresh car status is not doing anything. So there seems to be something broken. Is there any good place to start looking for the a solution?

Installed it from source and I can see this error when doing force refresh:
[err] 2021-10-15 09:10:57 [ManagerDrivers] [Driver:uvo] [Device:9d3102a3-3b80-490e-8fd9-08a30585bdd7] doPoll failed Cannot read property ‘find’ of undefined

Hi @ludvig, can you send me an app diagnostics report (from the app settings)?

Here you are. Thanks for your support

Judging by the logs it might choke on getting the charge targets (which are not existing in a hybrid) . Will investigate further this weekend.

Aa okey. Im also running home assistant and tried a kia plugin (GitHub - fuatakgun/kia_uvo). And that one works. But I rader of course have it integrated direct in Homey instead of redirecting it through home assistant.

That is a problem already. When you run the HA application in parallel to Homey you will definitely run out of daily quota. Only use 1 service at a time!

Yes. Its only backup since it’s not working. Wanted to see if there was a general problem or not.
