[App][Pro] FlowBits — Small bits of logic, big difference in your Flows

I created an issue.

Hi,

Thanks for this app, rebuilt a lot of my flows with this!

It would be great if Labels can be stored as a tag and received with the “Label X has changed”. I have 4 water leak senors that all do the same thing, send notification, say somethings in a speaker and insert into log. But I have 4 identical flows for each of the 4 sensors but with this I want to set it like this.

“If [Water sensor kitchen] is activated” –> “Set Label [Water alert] to [Kitchen]” and then use the tag for only one flow: “Label [Water alert] is changed” –> “There is a water leak in [Kitchen]”.

@Sundlof Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve just released a new test version that has a value token on the label changed flow trigger. The new version is currently in review and should be released to production anytime soon.

In the meantime: FlowBits | Homey

Awesome!

Hey, I might be missing a thing, how do I create a variable of an app type? E.g. a Slider. I added a “On Slider “TestSlider” Changed” and saved the flow but I can’t set TestSlider in my Slider widget on a dashboard.

@Jesse_van_Vliet Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Apparently the slider must have a value before showing up in the widget autocomplete. I’ll try to fix it tonight. As a workaround, you can set the slider value to something, then it’s visible in the widget.

Ahh, yeah that workaround is fine. Thank you

Just released v1.10.5 where this bug is fixed

Hey there! I just wonder, why in the examples “vacation” is used as a flag and not a mode? thankss

@Thibaud_Lgs I think it’s personal preference. I see modes as common states in my house, I’m not on vacation every week, so that’s not common. I use the vacation flag to turn off flows that activate and deactivate modes and turn on a single flow that turns on lights and such when I’m on vacation.

But yeah, you can use it however you want of course

Hey! I actually can’t seem to add new widget progress bars anymore. It is stuck loading infinitely :open_mouth: My old progress bar still seems to work however.

@Jesse_van_Vliet The actual widget is loading indefinitely? Which version are you running?

Yeah. I actually noticed my app updated to 1.11.0 like 15 minutes ago and it started working now, sorry for the hassle

Hi all,

I don’t get it. I try to open the settings in the app to change any values etc, but I’m not able to change this, see screenshot.

Am I doing something wrong?

@Borssie Did you create any flows with any of those features? If you did, can you share some of your flows?

And what phone / os version do you have? Maybe it’s because that settings page is using a relatively new browser feature that might not be available…

FlowBits 1.12.0 (Test)

A new test release is available that introduces a new feature Sets. This feature was requested and tries to be somewhat the same as the Sets | Homey app for older Homeys. If anybody is interested to test it and provide feedback to the feature, would be appreciated.

Hi @BasMilius !

Thank you for your reply. No so haven’t created any flows yet. I first thought it would be better to check settings first and also put in any variables and other info before starting creating flows.

Currently I’m using my Pixel 8 Pro on the newest Android version

@Borssie Ah okay! You need to use a feature in a flow first before it shows up in the app settings. That’s because the app manages its storage based on your flows. For example, if you remove a mode and it’s not used in any other flow, FlowBits no longer keeps track of that mode.
