I’m just logged in through the Ajax account. No Enterprise API and no local SIA setup.
What I would like to do first is create a flow based on the doorbell push event. So when someone rings the doorbell, Homey should trigger a sound or chime on the Sonos.
The only thing is that I get the feeling Ajax somehow isn’t providing the correct trigger, or at least Homey doesn’t seem to receive the right event from Ajax when the doorbell is pressed.
The API login for ONVIF wasn’t linked yet before, but it should be linked now.
Thanks, that info helps.
For the Flow, could you use the dedicated trigger Ajax doorbell pressed or Ajax doorbell pressed (any doorbell), not only Ajax push event received. The DoorBell trigger also covers the live DoorBell ring stream, which is the better path.
Could you test once more after linking ONVIF? Then open Ajax Security diagnostics and check/send the DoorBell and FCM sections. If diagnostics shows no recent DoorBell event at all, Ajax is not sending Homey the event. If it shows a DoorBell event with 0 matched device(s), then Homey receives it but cannot match it to the DoorBell tile.
I managed to get my camera into Ajax via RTSP so I can test stuff a bit easier, stby for hopefully the fix
Any chance the latest build has the doorbell working now? All cameras seem to work so I’m hoping this transferred over to the doorbell as well. https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/com.ajax.security/Ajax-Beveiligingssysteem/test/
Thanks so much Mike! It works perfectly and the widget also looks nice. You’re awesome.
Much appreciated! Hopefully the beta version will soon be active as the live version, should fix a lot of issue and most importantly lower the memory usage by half (if not more).
Huge shout out to user Paul_Hemels , helped a ton by getting everything tuned and optimized.
I’m using the experimental version of the app my mike, and everything has worked fine until a couple of days ago when my relay and smart plug lost connection. Anyone know why? I’ve tried deleting them and restoring but nothing works.
I can no longer control my Ajax relays and smart plugs through Homey. I keep getting the error message: Failure_1.
Thanks again for your work!
One question: is there any way to use MotionProtect detectors as regular motion sensors to trigger Homey flows?
As far as I can tell, the only way to get motion events through is to set the detectors to “always active” in the Ajax app. But that also means the siren goes off on every detection, including when we’re home and the system is disarmed, so it’s not really usable for lighting automations.
Is there something I’m missing, or is this a limitation of the Ajax API? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Max
That’s correct, their motion are security purpose only unfortunately. There’s no option in the Ajax app to have them detect without being armed. As long as Ajax doesn’t change that there’s not much that can be done with it.
Thanks for confirming and good to know
