# Zigbee pairing issues: New devices fail to interview or drop immediately (Homey Pro 2026)

Not sure whether this contributes to your issue, but Zigbee channel 15 partly overlaps with WiFi channel 1 (in its sideband).

A higher Zigbee channel (18 or above) would likely have less interference. I under channels 20 or 25 are the preferred ones in such cases, [for compatibility reasons](https://community.homey.app/t/buttons-not-responding-or-severe-lagging-newbie-going-out-of-my-mind/154420/6).
