I’m looking everywhere for a solution but so far nothing, only Spotify integrations…
The worst is, Google Home has the perfect solution with automations for me… But it updates device states only if I manually open the app, so that does not help.

Yes, I have YouTube premium and nest speakers, I want that music starts if I enter the room. Fibaro activates the lights and a power plug perfectly but I can’t get the speaker to just start random music the same as If I say “ok Google Play music”

Hi Arie, I found this post and I have the same wish for playing YouTube Music. I see that this post is 8 months old. Did you manage to build it it the Google Services app? I am using that for speech and I love it. Would be nice to be able to play music from YTM as well.

No, last time i checked, there was still no YT Music api available in Google Cloud.
Ill check every now and again to see if its there.
Edit: i do see a few unofficial api libraries, perhaps i can use one of those in the meanwhile. Ill look into it.

Hi Guys, I came across your post and shared your wish to integrate YouTube Music[.](https://youtubevanceds.org/) I noticed the post is 8 months old—did you manage to incorporate it into the Google Services app? I use it for speech and enjoy it. It would be fantastic to have the option to play music from YTM as well.

Not yet, because YTM doesnt have a valid accessable API.
Will search for solutions in another month orso, perhaps there is finally a solution (not official ofc).

I am also looking for this. My chromecast app appears to be playing in Homey Pro but nothing actually happens.

I’ve been looking for this feature for ages as well. Really a shame that so many other streaming services is easily integrated into different smart home hubs or speakers from various manufactures, but YouTube Music, no no 🫤
Anyway, since I had some other units that I wasn’t able to get into Homey, I had already set up an HA, so I figured I would give it a go to see if that could do the trick. And YES! It is possible to play Youtube Music playlists on any device in Homey.
That catch is… HA is needed! Homey is my main hub, but as written above, I use HA when Homey is lacking. If your interessted, watch this youtube guide and afterwards, add the Unit “youtube music player” and the desired scripts for each Unit+Playlist. Well, I’ve been in the hospital for 2 weeks and still in recovery, and keep getting complications.
So currently, except for responding on my phone to easy questions on the forum, I am out of service.
In the bases, the YouTube (Music) part does work already. But to make it usable as device and in flows, it still needs a lott of work (I plan to make it work the same as my Universal Music Player app), but to be honest, that’s gonna take some time. As I am self employed, and already out of commission for 2 months, as soon as I’m healthy again, I first have live to catch up to again.
I haven’t even been able to install my awarded HP23 Special Edition yet 😬
So all I can say is: it’s gonna work. But i cannot give a estimated timeline. Sorry about that.
