# Why no love for the Netatmo Smart AC controller?

Well I believe split units are dumb by default, at least for what I need them for. Isn’t the best AC the one that can maintain a certain temperature and humidity all year around? Responding to the elements. Unless you are in a hospital, a data center, or you want to covert your AC into a microwave, there is not much to it. I live in PR, so other than high temps and a lot of humidity, I dont have to worry about anything else. I found that the Sensibo is actually better than the Tado. All the Tado does is work as a thermostat, turning the AC on and off trying to target a temperature and it does a very bad job at it. The Sensibo at least has a “feels like” feature, which I find way better. And both have geofencing, unless you want to control that with your flows. I am starting to reassure myself every day that smart homes are a total waste of time. Yes, it is fun, if you do not have a better hobby. There is not a single human being alive that has yet saved time with smart gadgets, not one. You always work more than what you get. Hopefully, AI will soon change that…
