# Why doesn't Homey allow bright color logos for the applications?

I’m developing a messaging application called Kakao Talk  
And its brand color is light yellow(#FEE500) as described here in

And so, if fails in validation like below.

✓ Validating app…  
✖ App did not validate against level `verified`:  
✖ The color defined in `brandColor` is too bright. Icons are rendered white, so choose a darker color that has enough contrast

How to resolve this issue?  
Is there no way to use this kind of bright brand color??

Contact Athom, these rules are made up by them and they might be able to provide you with a workaround.

App list here shows yellow-ish colors which seems to be approved. I’d pick a few tints less bright from #FEE500, so it is able to show the white symbol well. Also keep in mind the color-blind and folks with no 100% functioning vision should be able to see the white symbol.  
Probably the main issue here is: the white app symbol does not turn dark automatically when you use too bright colors 🫣
