# Which RFID Tag reader / securitycode keypad to use

I need it outdoor, I need my guests to be able to self check when arriving at their rental (closed with a roller blind). I will give it a try, and figure out how to build it a sort of protection.

i don’t think it’s ok for outdoor use.

you need something more robust for your use.

Hi sorry to jump on an old reply. Can you use that Keypad without the rest of the RING system? Would the RING app allow that to be added as a single device?

yes…but it always freeze due to incompatibility with secure zwave…
