Don’t you have the possibility to extend the Z-Wave signal via repeaters?  
It’s also possible to add an external [outdoor antenna](https://www.delock.com/produkt/88749/merkmale.html?g=1559) to an Z-Wave repeater ([Tutorial](https://community.homey.app/t/probleme-mit-der-zwave-reichweite/16717), only in German, sorry).
