Hi Homey customers,

I have Warema Awning with Warema WMS radio system, basically a wi-fi remote to control the extension of Warema Awning.
I looked at Community because I wanna integrate it in Homey Pro.

Many of threads are in German and in addition there are no similar use cases (control the awning/sunblind). Anyway, after a while I found how to do it using Homey Pro flow.

Here you are.

First you need a simple “switch” from VirtualDevice (WHEN) to open and close it

As THEN you can use Logic from Homey Pro, more specifically a Make a POST request, as follows:

Make a POST request to

http://IP\_LOCAL\_ADDRESS\_OF\_YOUR\_WMS\_WIFI\_DEVICE/commonCommand

with headers

Content-Type: application/json

and body

{“protocolVersion”: “1.0.0”, “command”: “action”, “source”: 2, “responseType”: 0, “actions”: [{“destinationId”: ID\_NUMBER\_OF\_YOUR\_SUNBLIND, “actionId”: 0, “parameters”: {“percentage”:100}}]}

Basically when percentage is equal to 100 is open, when equal to 0 is closed and you can even use a parameter to do that.

By the way if you have a light embedded in the sunblind the logic is the same, just you need to change the ID number of the light instead of the sunblind.

Hopefully this helps.

Sunny
