Hi all,

I am thinking of buying this outdoor siren: [Siren/Outdoor Siren-VISION AUTOMOBILE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.](https://www.visionsecurity.com.tw/index.php?option=product&lang=en&task=pageinfo&id=392&belongid=324&index=0)

Does anybody have any experience with it and Homey Pro?

In an old post from 2019, is mentioned that it doesn’t work with Homey - but another post from 2020 says, that it does?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Kind regards
Finn

If type 1621-5 is type 1621 it is supported by [Vision Security App voor Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/com.visionsecurity/Vision-Security/)
I have no idea what the “-5” means. If it is part of the type, it will not work.
For types see [VISION ZM1621MY-5 INSTALLATION & OPERATION MANUAL Pdf Download | ManualsLib](https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1479402/Vision-Zm1621my-5.html)

Hi RMB,

Thanks a lot for your swift reply 🙂

I also have no idea what the “-5” in the type name means. And looking through the “Vision ZM1621MY-5 Installation & Operation Manual” doesn’t seem to help.

I don’t want to buy it, if it doesn’t work with Homey.

Actually it is pretty hard to find an outdoor wireless/battery operated siren that works with Homey!

The only one that I could find is the POPP siren: [POPP App til Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/da-dk/app/com.popp/POPP/)
(Solar Outdoor Siren 1 & 2 005107 & 700854).

But it needs sun, and cant be installed in the shadow…

If anyone knows about an outdoor wireless/battery operated siren that works with Homey, please let me know, thanks.

Kind regards
Finn

Appearantly everything after ZM1621 indicates the country code.

once again RB, thank you 👍

I found this support thread about the Vision app for Homey:

Maybe I should have posted my question there instead?
I’m new to Homey and the support forum, and on a steep learning curve 🙂

However, reading through this thread, I could not see any unambiguous proof that the Vision app for Homey supports the Outdoor siren ZM1621-5?

Kind regards
Finn
