# Virtual POWER meter and other devices for flow testing

This is a way to control a Better Logic variable by using a slider, which you can use as “fake” value in flows.  
Required apps:

- [Device Capabilities](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-advanced-virtual-device-device-capabilities-app-with-unique-text-status-indicator/68198)

1. Create a numeric BLL variable, I called it `test_power_value`
2. Add a new device, select DC, and tap ‘Advanced Virtual Device’,
3. To configure the AVD, long press the device tile, tap ‘Advanced Settings’ and tap ‘Try to repair’
4. Add a slider, by configuring a _number field_ value like this:

(Min / Max can be any value)

Flow:

Slide the slider:
