# Verisure Deur/raam sensor

I used to have a Verisure subscription which has since been cancelled, but they didn’t require me to return the equipment. Is it possible to reuse these door and window sensors with Homey in some way, or is there a workaround to make them work?

Given the fact that you have to fill in the account-data of your Verisure-account, I would think it’s not possible. It will probably use a Verisure-api, which is not accessible if you don’t have a subscription.

Google’s AI states:

Verisure door sensors use a wireless, encrypted, and monitored protocol to detect opening or tampering (shock/vibration) on doors and windows. When triggered, the sensors immediately send an alert to the 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), which typically responds to verified emergencies within 29 seconds by activating security protocols or calling police.

**Key Aspects of the Verisure Door Sensor Protocol:**

- **Wireless Technology:** All sensors are wireless, allowing for easy, damage-free installation.

- **Encrypted Signal:** The sensors send an encrypted signal to the central control panel, which then transmits the data to the monitoring station.
