# Using bridges or connecting directly to Homey?

I have to admit, I avoid bridges where possible. Yes I have an Aqara M100. But that was added only because I couldn’t get full functionality from their presence sensors without something from Aqara. I also have a Tado bridge, but that is only as a range extender (the benefits of a 3 storey townhouse).
