# Unknown node in z-wave

Hi,
I have a few unknown z-wave nodes visible in my mesh routing table…
Is it possible to find out what the identity was/Is of these nodes?

I had some unknown nodes from interrupted device assignments.
If you can see all other devices in the mesh, you can delete the unknow ones.
Just try a test message in the mesh view for these devices. Then a message appears that it’s not reachable. After that, the delete button becomes active and you can delete the devices from your mesh table.

There have been a couple of different threads about similar or the same issue. I’ve experienced more or less the same thing until I got help in this thread [How to remove ghost/unknown/dead Z-wave nodes](https://community.homey.app/t/how-to-remove-ghost-unknown-dead-z-wave-nodes/16725)
