# Turning on and off the Syntology NAS DS220+ with the Homey Pro

Thanks so much for the Syntology app for Homey. I can turn the Syntology NAS off wth the Homey app via a flow and via the button. But I cannot turn it on with the syntology app. My router is a Fritzbox 7590.

Probably good to ask in the Synology app thread directly but for turning Synology back on, you must have enabled WOL on Synology

In your synology web interface you will have to set wake on lan to ‘on’
If you don’t know how, you can find it in the thread in the comment above.

Thanks a lot Hugo, but I already did that. Question is wether it is possible to turn the Synology totally off and than on again? Or should we let the Synology automatically go to sleep and than turn it on again?

With WOL enabled, yes, it’s possible.

I can turn the NAS on with DS finder, but with my mobile I need to be connected to the same LAN as the NAS. But I still not can turn it on via Internet with DS finder. With the Homey app I can turn it off everywhere but cannot turn it on???
