I have one flow that is becoming severely over populated and I am trying to break it down and make it modular but having some issues.

Can you run an advanced flow from within a flow or can you only run a basic flow?

I want to break out/move the driveway lights that set a certain color based on season/time of year to separate flow and then execute that but the flow card does not give me that option to select it.

This is the original flow. It is for my outdoor lights (driveway, govee decoration lights etc). Also has motion triggers and triggers to turn off at certain time.

This where I am trying to break them down and insert flow to executer the flow for setting outdoor lights based on season but don’t see the flow as an option to select.

This is the break down seasonal flow

Try using ‘start flow with tag’ and ‘this flow was started with tag’

I’m not familiar with “tags”. Does that value have to be something meaningful or just an arbitrary text?

For easy understanding I chose as tag “AAN” and “UIT”

In this case flow ‘koeling AAN/UIT’ is started but also could be addressing itself.

Maybe you like this approach:

Certain triggers set the variable ‘dimlevel plafond’ to let’s say 0.4. The fun part is that when the variable is already 0.4 the variable is not changed: so the trigger ‘variable has changed’ does not trigger
