Morning, I’m new to Homey, and while it looks great, my real wish is to have a small screen like the SONOFF devices sold in AliExpress, or others in every room entrance to control scenes. I can’t seem to find a single device that’s supported other than an iPad, but that seems overkill (even a Mini) for each bedroom. Also it seems that some devices are disconnecting, or bricked, when updates are applied to Homey. Has anyone got any touchscreen device to work reliably, like Tuya or any brand? I asked Homey Support and they came back with the boilerplate “we don’t recommend any products,” so that wasn’t very helpful. I would appreciate your input on this matter. Thank you Alex ---

Imho it’s impossible _a Homey update_, or anything other than flashing the devices’ firmware, can **brick** a paired device. Disconnections can be caused by many things, like changed IP addresses. Always reserve IP addresses for your devices (a.k.a. fixed IP). Firmware updates can cause lots of (odd) issues, I always recommend to disable auto-updates \> install updates yourself at a convenient time. Often a restart right after a completed update often solves the occurred issues. ---

Thank you very much Peter for your reply. That makes sense. Now on to the most important question: Does anyone use a touchscreen to manage devices or lighting scenes? I’m hiding all my wirelessly addressable dimmers in a closet so they’re out of view and just having screens to manage. Who is using touchscreens OTHER THAN iPads/Tablets and what devices are they? I bought one of these to test: [https://a.aliexpress.com/\_EG4Pg46](https://a.aliexpress.com/_EG4Pg46) [Here is a short video of it in use](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PvoYginRHwwDbLGiF9FxIB5AM0Z0_4Wx/view?usp=sharing) It comes with Android 11 and Google Play installed, so it’s just to log in and download the Homey app and you’re good to go. A few things to note: - Once a Dashboard is loaded it works fine and you can swipe between “pages” on the dashboard - Changing between dashboards is slow and hangs a bit - Setting the screen to go to sleep after e.g. 1 minute will cause it to hang like changing between dashboards. (seems like it have to load it again?) - Since it’s only 480x480 not all widgets fit perfect, even though it seems to be enough space for them. (see the last page shown in the video. That is cut even though it looks like there’s enough space for it) ---

Thank you! This looks like a great solution. Are these 110V or 220V? I’m in the USA so not a lot of 229v here. I appreciate your sending the info. Alex ---

I have it connected to 230V here, but the specification on AliExpress says: > 6. Power Supply: Compatible with POE (IEEE802.3af) and an AC input range of 110~240V.
