Hi. I just installed four new Vallhorn motionsensors from Ikea. I added each one to a specific sone/room and an advanced flow for them to switch light on or of if they detect motion. But when I enter the room, the light does not turn on, but I can see that it some how gives me a readout that it detects motion. What do I do wrong?

Just for clarification: in your topic title, you mention a ‘timeout error’. However in your post you do not refer to this error anymore. Do you get an error when the flow executes? Or is the light just not turning on? Maybe you can share a screenshot of your flow.

I’d like to suggest to add notification- or log cards to your flow, so you can disvover at what point things don’t work as you expected.
Example:

Hi. I am sorry for not being precise. I do not get any errors on the flow. It works fine, but the sensors does not respond at all.

Can you share a screenshot of your flow?

The flow is fairly simple, the issue is that the motion sensor does not register movement at all.

As you can see on the second screenshot. And this effects the hole system with Trådfricomponents.

The timeout message, did you get it when trying to save changes is this screen? Because that is normal for battery powered devices. You first need to wake the device by pressing the button on the motion sensor, just before saving changes.

I see that the motion reset delay is set to 120 seconds. This means that after a motion is sensed, the next 2 minutes the sensor is disabled. Not sure how you are testing the flow, but this might influence its behavior. If you change it to a lower number, like 30 seconds, does this work? Make sure to wake up the motion sensor, before saving the change.
