> @4x4_Pete, as for your question, I’d recommend giving the episode with Paul and Shane a listen. We covered that topic in quite a bit of detail there 😉

Seen that and its some nice n easy chatting about what others think and do.

So I take from this, that Athom does not have any AI strategy, does not work on anything in that direction and is just (except form the MCP Server) passively leaning back to wait and see what other creative minds come up with…

Is that the correct interpretation?

Certainly isn’t! We are actively exploring how we can use AI in our products. The biggest caveat is that we want to do this in a way where we aren’t dependent on the large AI cloud offerings that are available today. Ideally, we’d like to offer something that can run locally and still be genuinely useful.
At the moment, you still need quite a lot of computing power to run AI models properly offline. We’d rather avoid a situation where we have to charge users a significant monthly subscription just to make it work.

If you have any more questions or thoughts about this, feel free to start a topic and we can continue the conversation there 😉

@Doekse I dont believe this statement is correct 🥴

It depends on the device class, locks, thermostats and lights for example aren’t adjustable in that regard. You can however also change the Quick Action to a alarm capability if the device has one.

It has several alarm capabilities, but none of them are available in the quick action or status indicator (which is not possible to change) it would be really useful to be able to display both the lock status and the built in contact sensor.

Edit: @Doekse I cant see that Im able to change the quick action to a alarm capability on any devices. Tried Android and iOS, but it would be really useful if it was possible 😊

It’s a available for most devices, BUT locks/lights/thermostats

You confuse Quick action with the Status indicator.

@Peter_Kawa I do know the difference between status indicator and quick action. But according to the comment from @Doekse the alarm capability should be available in the quick action as well? 🤷‍♂️

@Doekse, did I hear Emile tell us a few podcasts ago, that Athom was working on a Homey-integrated Energy Managment System (EMS)? Would it be possible tot share information about this? This is of interest for many people (in The Netherlans at least) and a few app-builders are in the process of building quite sophisticated apps for it. It could be interesting to know what could be done native within the Homey-os, what needs a seperate app and what has to be done in fows. I lack knowledge, but feel urgency.
