# Temperature sensor not updating or freezing

No. It’s event driven (= on significant temperature changes).

When you didn’t add any zigbee routers in the mix, you def should. Almost any mains powered zigbee device act as zigbee router.

Battery powered sensors are so called end-devices, and _never_ act as router (to spare the battery)

### _Don’t use IKEA routers in the same mesh as Aqara zigbee stuff @ Homey; They DON’T mix._

(works fine @ Zigbee2MQTT though).

Aqara and Homey zigbee can be problematic, same phenomenon is reported many times: sensors just quit sending events after x days/weeks/months. Only manual re-pair fixes it for a while.

However, it’s not quite fair to blaim it all on Aqara here:  
I use lots of Aqara stuff with Zigbee2MQTT, and it all runs like clockwork, even when mixed with IKEA routers…
