Hi all,
I am also looking for a solution for wall mount tablets in several of my rooms.

Here are some i found but i dont know if they will work

Beautifull zipatile but is it homey commpatible ?

- [https://shop.zwave.eu/products/heating-and-climate-control/1736/mco-home-electrical-heating-thermostat-with-humidity-sensor-version-2](https://shop.zwave.eu/products/heating-and-climate-control/1736/mco-home-electrical-heating-thermostat-with-humidity-sensor-version-2)
Homey compatible but can is it possible to map a button on it so it can also switch on off lights and open blinds ?

- Creston
[https://www.crestron.com/Products/Featured-Solutions/Crestron-Home/Products](https://www.crestron.com/Products/Featured-Solutions/Crestron-Home/Products)
What a beautifull and perfectly ergonomic interface
I want it !! but will it work with homey ??

I answer myself.
The zipatile is not homey compatible because it is a standalone system.
So have to forget that.

Creston is awsome and most beautifull UI that exists on the market but is standalone.
I will try to make it exists for homey via nodered

MCO not sure it seems to be only usable for heat/cold thermostat, not sure it is possible to program buttons on it that would switch on lights for example

looking at the screenshots from the Creston site, I think this will be not too hard to do in Lovelace, Home assistant… or you can also look at something like this for instance 😉

It depends on the model. You need to run the Docker app on Synology, which is only available on certain models. You can find a list here: [https://www.synology.com/nl-nl/dsm/packages/Docker](https://www.synology.com/nl-nl/dsm/packages/Docker)

When you’re model is not on this list, you can stop searching: other Synology models are build with a processor that is not capable of running Docker. With software you can do a lot of workarounds, but when the hardware is the problem, there’s nothing you can do about it.

Hello,
I really want to try that one [https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv](https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv)
But i dont understand one thing.
Now i got a raspberry pi 4 8gb mb 64bit running Home assistant 64bit from usb boot.

1/ Do i have to flash that one : [https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv](https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv)
to another usb and boot on it ?
Or do i have to copy the content to my existing usb hass to replace it s files ?

2/ I am on wifi only. Does this [https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv](https://github.com/lukevink/hass-config-lajv) handle wifi connection also ?

Hope i am clear and one can clear my doubts… !
Cheers all

Hi @mattrix ,

With respect but that’s not how this works I’m afraid, there is nothing to install here, you have to build this yourself, please have a look at the first post in the resources part, everything is explained here.

> **[Floorplan UI with Color synced lights](https://community.home-assistant.io/t/floorplan-ui-with-color-synced-lights/169417?u=dmertens)**
>
> Hi all! New to this community, I decided to attempt something that was bugging me with 3D floorplans - My hue bulbs have color, and the floorplans I saw didn’t seem to do this dynamically. So here it is! My apporach to a floorplan focused minimal UI....

To be honest I never have seen a cleaner more detailed config, Lovelace config as the config of @lukevink and as a bonus he is even willing to support this in this forum so you will not find it better than this!

But with all respect if this is all new to you, start walking first and go running after this, learn the basics start with building a simple example dashboard, learn how the different cards work, Lovelace, get familiar with basic yaml editing, because you will need that believe me!

After this make a basic picture elements example, have a look at this for instance: [https://www.juanmtech.com/set-up-the-picture-elements-card-in-home-assistant/](https://www.juanmtech.com/set-up-the-picture-elements-card-in-home-assistant/), read, play, investigate, build… curse and start over, believe me I’m already in version 6 now 🙂

So after this, and you know the basics, you can use probably something like this flow;

Step 1: Preparations

- Make a plan what you want to do with the floorplan, managing lights, music, sensors…
- On what device are you going to use, view the floorplan, phone, tablet, monitor, TV, Nest hub…
- What’s the purpose of the floorplan, view, monitor, or mange as a switchboard for instance
– lights, media, sensors, camara’s…
– Get a list of all the entities you are going to use in the floorplan, you need this later…
- Do you have a plan of the house, rooms, the measurements, furniture measurements…, so how detailed you want to go, you will need this information to build the plan itself…
- …

Step 2: The floorplan itself…

- Start building, designing the floorplan itself: 2D, 3D the whole house, separate parts, rooms…
– For this you can use a tool like: [http://www.sweethome3d.com/](http://www.sweethome3d.com/)
– Here you can find a tutorial to help you start with this: [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqazFFzUAPc6vIE\_JM3Ysis39MrANKxx\_](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqazFFzUAPc6vIE_JM3Ysis39MrANKxx_)
– Prepare all the images you need, different rooms, and of course the lights, you can do this in Home Sweet 3D self, or use a tool like Pixelmator, Photoshop, Gimp… simple example here: [https://aarongodfrey.dev/home%20automation/creating-a-3d-floorplan-in-home-assistant/](https://aarongodfrey.dev/home%20automation/creating-a-3d-floorplan-in-home-assistant/)

Step 3: Put the floorplan in lovelace…

- Create a new blank dashboard in Home assistant
– Put in your floor plan: see here again: [https://www.juanmtech.com/set-up-the-picture-elements-card-in-home-assistant/](https://www.juanmtech.com/set-up-the-picture-elements-card-in-home-assistant/)
- try to add entities to the map, also explained in the example…
- …

Step 4: The config of @lukevink

- I never have seen a more detailed config as this one, but still if your all new to this, it’s still quite overwhelming believe me it was for me 🙂 so go true this part by part and try to rebuild the config from luke first, all the images are in his config, just replace the entities with yours and see of you get this working, no it will not be only copy and paste 😉
- Start with installing the custom cards, integrations for this to work, you can use Hacs for most of these: [https://hacs.xyz/](https://hacs.xyz/)

The list is probably not complete, but out of my head;

After this and you get the hang of it, start a new dashboard and start creating your dream dashboard

Optional: you can also have a look at this option: [https://github.com/bradcrc/color-lite-card](https://github.com/bradcrc/color-lite-card) here you use a custom card to get more or less the same, I prefer the solution of @lukevink but depending on what you want it can also be an option for you?

The developer also created a very simple tool to get the coordinates of elements you want to put in your floor plan, believe me it makes it a lot faster than fiddling with the code yourself 😉

I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear, but I’m afraid it will not be plug and play, more pray in the beginning to be honest 😉

So believe me it takes some time, effort to get to this result, but the feeling when you get this done, is so overwhelming and satisfying that it was worth the time you put in to this, also when your wife, loved ones say OK I have to say this is quite nice and handy I can see me using this will make your whole day 😛

Good luck, and off course share your ideas, results back here always fun, educational so see what other people have designed!

Hi @mattrix,

I’m not a developer so for you as a web dev this will probably be a piece of cake 😉 good luck, and if you are willing to share your creation please do, always very interesting to see what others create and who knows to get some nice ideas to copy 😛
