When first connecting my Hue hub to Homey, it seemed to copy in the names I’d defined within Hue. However that seems like it was potentially a one-time sync, since updating the name either in Homey or in Hue will not reflect the update in the corresponding platform. Is name synchronization not supported? ---

Apps cannot change the names of devices they manage, they can only provide a name when the device gets paired. So no, name synchronisation is not supported. ---

Apologies for reviving this old thread, but I noticed today that Homey can actually update the names of lights in the Hue app. I was renaming a bunch of them through the Homey dashboard and saw them updating live in the Hue app that I had open on my phone. Perhaps something changed then since January? ---

I don’t think so, I’ve added all my lights using the official Hue app. ---
