Hey all, I’m pretty new here and just tried to setup a Sonoff thermostat TRVZB with homey pro. I can connect it as unknown device, but since there is no default app it does not work. The sonoff app does not support the thermostat (yet?). I found out that Zigbee2MQTT seems to support this device but it would require additional setup, i.e. Raspberry PI with Zigbee adapter, what I do not want to buy just for this use case. Does anyone have experience with this thermostat? Is there a way to connect any Zigbee thermostat somehow? Is the sonoff app updated for this device? I could not find any further helpful information so any information would help. Thank you in advance. Best, Crash ---

If it’s not supported, it’s not supported 🤷🏼‍♂️ You can wait for the Sonoff app to be updated, but I don’t think anybody is able to tell you when it will be updated, and if your device will be supported then. So it’s up to you if you want to wait for it, or look for alternatives. ---

Do you know if there is an alternative that works with Zigbee or at least does not run over the cloud? Tado seems to have supported thermostats but they require a cloud connection ---

Hi I have just purchased the TRVZB as I’m unsure which TRV to go for - I’ve added it to Homey with the official app but when I alter the stat it doesn’t alter in Homey - wondering if anyone is having the same problem ---

Hi woto… i have 8 TRVZB from Sonoff and theres no support from Homey or any app for now. I have added them on a Sonoff IHost and added IHost via matter into Homey… ---

Hey Woto. i just came on top of this today and found out it is now supported in the official Sonoff app but in a wery limited way… Hope there will be more options in the future (Deactivate, Heating, cooling etc., Batteri alarm options and more). I “Grouped” them and all seams fine for now. 🙂 - So i just emptyed my Sonoff - Ihost and closed it down. - Yeahhh 😉 ---

I am having trouble with the app - when I alter the TRV it doesn’t update to Homey - I can alter the temperature in Homey and the TRV changes - also sometimes when dragging the temperature wheel it doesn’t move as though the app has crashed - I’m just looking into which stat to go for as theses are at a reasonable price when I need 13 it gets quite expensive ---

Hey Woto. the Thermostats are actually supported by the default Sonoff App, so you dont need the ihost anymore. i have moved mine to the Homey Pro and closed the ihost down. But i i just added them to the ihost as normal thernostats and connected the entire ihost to the Homey Pro as a matter device and vorla! 🙂 ---

I’m finding that they don’t work correctly using the Homey app - when altering the TRV doesn’t update to Homey but when you alter the temp in Homey the TRV alters - there is no battery indication in Homey - I’m finding after a while the actual temperature stops repotting seems to get stuck - tested both the Sonoff and the Sonoff Zigbee app - sent messages to the developers about this - I’ve tested side by side using Homey and eWelink to check the actual temperature mine definitely gets stuck ---

Hi Woto 🙂 I used the “\< gruppe \>” app and Grouped them into cool (bedroom) and hot roooms (Living areas) mine are working as a charm from there, it looks like the \< Group \> app has a better grip on the thermostats. … 🙂 ---

Hi Frank Will have a test on that thought the group app - thought the group app was used just to group devices once added to Homey - I use it for my GU10 bulbs around the house Thanks ---

hi Woto 🙂 just for the info my setup are at Homey FW. v12.1.1 Sonoff thermostats are at FW. v1.1.1 I have around 30 Zigbee Routers scattered around the house, this could also be an issue not havingh enough coverige. Happy sunday 🙂 ---

Hey Frank Tried to add them under group but the group app is only to add things together when they have been added to Homey then you can group the devices together Range isn’t an issue as I’m testing the valves a couple of meters away from Homey also I have plenty of Zigbee devices around the house My Homey is on 12.2.0 now but it has been on earlier versions and made no difference The TRVs that I have tested are on FW 1.2.1 Tried both apps for Sonoff and there are issues with both Did you use an app before adding them to the group app ?
