# Show values from countdown app on homey dashboard

Hi all,

I have been trying to create a virtual device that shows the value of one of my timers in countdown app, that didn’t work out.

So now I am seeing of it is possible to show it in the dashboard. Does anyone know if there is a widget that I can use to show the value of countdown timers (from the countdown app)?

I am not familiar with the Countdown app.

However, you can achieve this with the [Chronograph app](https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/nl.fellownet.chronograph/Chronograph/) and an advanced virtual device using the [Device Capabilities app](https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/nl.qluster-it.DeviceCapabilities/Device-Capabilities/).

In the advanced virtual device you can add a text-based capability that shows the remaining time of your timer:

And add e.g. a custom icon. The result as shown in the virtual device:

You can add multiple of these timers to the virtual device.

Finally you can display them on your dashboard, via the widget from the [Enhanced Device Widget app](https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/ady.enhanced_device_widget/Enhanced-Device-Widget/).
