# Save and release/dispatch notifications later?

For the “unimportant” notifications I use [Simple Log log cards](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-simple-sys-log-use-this-app-for-simple-sys-logging/77533).  
It even provides for a [script, to add log cards](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-simple-sys-log-use-this-app-for-simple-sys-logging/77533/6) to all, or selected flows.  
Pro: the data is 100% saved locally to Homey’s storage.  
Con: it’s not endless, the logs rotate, to prevent running out of storage, _ **unless** _ you send the logs to a syslog server.

I made a howto, [to display the logs](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-simple-sys-log-use-this-app-for-simple-sys-logging/77533/449) on Homey dashboard.

For “need to know” notifications I use Signal/Telegram, part of the [CallMeBot app](https://community.homey.app/t/48374).  
Con: Those are 3rd party online services, to trust your information to.  
Pro: This offers a (neverending) history, and it’s searchable with search tools.  
Somehow this is not offered by native timeline & push notifications.
