# Ring Security - Extend Heimdall with Ring Security products

Hi @Chris_nl,

The **Tamper Alarm** responds to powerloss.  
Make sure you have the **Use tamper Alarm** setting set to _yes_ and apply power to the keypad to turn it off (when power was already applied, remove it, wait a bit and reapply it) if you don’t want to use the **Tamper Alam** set it to _no_ before removing the power.
