# Ring Security - Extend Heimdall with Ring Security products

> - Set **Use Proximity Detection** default to **No** for Ring Keypad V2

Several users have reported that setting **Use Proximity Detection** to **No** solves their problem of the Ring Keypad V2 freezing so from now on the default setting is **No**.  
This new setting will only be applied when adding the **Ring Keypad V2**. Current users of the device should change this setting themselves when experiencing these freezes. In a future version this setting may be forced to **No** for all users and the ability to change it will be removed.
