Hi Chris,

It shows the flowcard that should get triggered when the entry delay is started can’t trigger because the device that actually caused the entry delay to start can’t be retrieved. I’ll look into it.

If you’re not using that particular flow card, there’s no functional issue for you.

When app connected to doorbell elite 2 latest version it crashes/freeze doorbell . I believe livestream on the homey ring app creates it. Once ii uninstall ring app in homey and reboot doorbell everything works again

Live stream works well in the homey ring app but door bell ring not showing or motion detection either. This app just crashes completely doorbell elite 2 latest version completely. To the point that door bell cannot record its motion events.

I used ring elite doorbell 1st veruion before and it was fine everything worked ( apart live stream i the homey ring app) but I didnt mind it only wanted for motion detection and ring alerts to work

Thanks David

Hi Danee,

I’m running Ring app **2.14.26** on Homey and I’ve found what looks like a power-mode detection issue with my **Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro** cameras.

The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro cameras are permanently mains powered and work perfectly in the official Ring iPhone app, including Live View. However, the Homey Ring app appears to detect them as **battery-powered**.

My **Ring Spotlight Wired** cameras are detected correctly as mains powered and work fine in Homey.

It looks like the power detection may be handling spotlightw correctly but not the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro (floodlight\_pro or similar kind).

Could you please check the power-mode detection for **Floodlight Cam Wired Pro** in 2.14.26?

I have tried this and removed all of the devices, but unfortunately, even with the latest version, which is marked as development, I am not getting any notifications. Am I right in thinking these stopped when the ring app started offering AI interpretation of what was going on? Has anyone else got this working with latest Ring software, as my entire home network security relies on this!

I have the same issue. - Homey and Ring app says my Ring devices are fine, but hasn’t reported over the last 8 days.

Hi Andrew,

There’s currently no development version published. Please make sure you update to 2.14.16.

After that perform the steps in the mentioned instructions again. It may help to wait a bit after revoking and re-authenticating again, if the first try doesn’t work. Perform the steps again, let it rest for a couple of hours before re-authenticating.

This is what I did:

1. Turned off Ring app and waited 30 minutes.
2. Removed authentication from Ring app for all devices.
3. Left the entire system overnight.
4. This morning, turned on the app and left it 15 minutes.
5. Repaired the front door bell and authticated it against the Ring app.
6. Confirmed Authenitcation in Ring app at 9.28 GMT+1 (BST)
7. Ensured test flow working for any motion on any ring to be sent to me as a critical alert and logged in Homey history.
8. So far at least 5 motions (people walking past cameras) NOT by Homey but by the Ring app

What else can I do to help you?

I removed authentication from the Ring app in Homey and let it rest over night. 10 hours later I authenticated the Ring app. Still the same answer. The Ring devices are there, but they haven’t been seen for 10 days.

Please follow the steps as explained in the FAQ at the beginning of this topic, you have to remove Homey’s registration at Ring.

Hi, after 6 months usage my Ring community app started to crash repeatedly.
9 times in the last 24 hours.
I set a timeline notification on apps crash that’s why I noticed.
I have a homey pro mini.
What shall I do?
I already uninstalled unused apps to free up memory but it keeps crashing.
Thanks

I’m not sure if it’s any help with your fault-finding, but my test flow is now receiving very occasional notifications, but only when the Ring camera identifies a human. It does not allow me to sort the type of motion detection with my flows.

Well, that does help I think, can you please check the Smart Alerts and Priority Alerts settings in you Ring app?

Good morning. I’m even beginning to think it is when the ring now detects an “unusual activity”. I’ve just amended my test routine to prove this point.

In General my settings are:

Motion Alerts On
Video descriptions on
Familar Faces On

Single Events Alerts On
Unusual Event Alerts On

Smart Alerts On

Priority Alerts - Person (although i have only JUST turned this on) - it would have been off for the earlier tests.

I’ll update you once I have more definitive data - getting only a couple of alerts a day means it might take a few days.

All the best,

Andrew

Good morning again, I thought I would just update you that I’ve had my first notification from Homey since making the changes above and, as I suspected, it was an ‘unusual’ event. I think I might turn this descriptive element off for a couple of key cameras and see if that increases the number of notifications.

I have turned off video descriptions for the two main cameras and will let you know what happens. This seems to turn off the other AI features.
