hello, i would like to find a rain gauge in order to make a flow with my homey compatible watering valve. when it rains during the day, my evening watering program does not start… Thank you ---

You can get just a [rain sensor](https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/13) from Ecowitt and it’s supported by the excellent [Misol and Ecowitt app](https://homey.app/en-gb/app/com.misol/Misol-and-Ecowitt/). You also need a gateway but they’re pretty cheap. By the way in my experience it’s much easier and more reliable to use a soil moisture sensor instead of a rain gauge for irrigation control. Ecowitt also does those. They’re cheaper, you can have multiple for different areas and they’re supported by the same gateway and app. ---

The [POPP Z-rain](https://community.homey.app/t/popp-z-rain/17868) is another option that doesn’t require a gateway. ---

thanks, but I’m looking for a simple rain gauge that connects directly to Homey. If I have to have a gateway for every device I buy for Homey I’m going to go crazy … ---

I searched for “rain” in the homey App Store and it returned this app which looks like it supports a range of rain gauges directly connected to homey via 433MHz. I guess you could google the manufacturer. I bought it from a [Swedish web shop](https://www.m.nu/sensorer/z-rain), but I noticed they don’t keep it in stock anymore. ---

Hello, I use the Ecowitt GW2001 Wittboy Weather Station, include GW2000 wi-fi Gateway e WS90 7-in-1 , which I purchased on AliExpress at a super discounted price, and it works great with the Misol and Ecowitt apps. Unlike Netatmo, the station provides feedback every few seconds. I also have Netatmo, but it can take up to half an hour for the rain notification to arrive. It’s still on a 55% discount on aliexpress ---
