Hi all,
I’ve built a [Bitfocus Companion](https://bitfocus.io/companion) module for Homey Pro. Companion is the free, open-source app behind Stream Deck-style button panels (Elgato Stream Deck, Mirabox, Loupedeck, and others) — this module lets one control Homey too, so a button panel becomes a home automation controller.

**What it does**
Connects directly to a Homey Pro on your local network (Personal Access Token, no cloud dependency) and
discovers your devices automatically. It’s capability-driven, not a fixed device list — any device Homey
exposes gets:

• Actions — toggle/set/increment capabilities, set enum values (thermostat modes, cover states, …), plus
a generic raw action for anything not specifically covered
• Feedbacks — boolean state, numeric comparisons, text/enum comparisons, device availability — so buttons
reflect current state (e.g. light on = button lit up)
• Variables — every capability’s raw + human-formatted value
• Presets — ready-made buttons per device (with the device’s own icon), covering lights, switches/plugs,
dimmers, locks, covers, garage doors, thermostats, sensors, speakers, and a generic fallback for anything
else — grouped by Homey zone

Updates in real time via Homey’s own events, no polling.

**Hardware**
Tested on my own Mirabox 293V3 (15-key LCD panel) — the only device I can vouch for. It should work on
any Companion-supported surface (Stream Deck, other Mirabox models, Loupedeck, the mobile/web emulator, …) since it only talks to Companion’s own action/feedback/preset system, but I haven’t verified that myself.

Reports from other hardware are welcome.

**A note on how this was built**
I’m a developer, but full disclosure: I didn’t write a single line of this — it was built entirely by Claude
(Anthropic’s AI coding agent). I directed it, reviewed the output, and tested it against my own Homey, but the
code is 100% AI-written.

**Requirements**
• A Homey Pro (needs local API access — Homey Cloud isn’t supported)
• Bitfocus Companion 5.0+
• A Personal Access Token from Homey’s Web App (Settings → API Keys)

**Get it**
No build required — grab the packaged module from the GitHub Releases page and import it via Companion’s
