# Problems with connecting raindetector in Tuya app

Does anyone know how to get a rain detector paired with the Tuya app? I have tried various options in the Tuya app, but it won’t pair. Which category is this device in?

Hi, can you please provide for an app store link to “the” Tuya app? There are several.

That’s a Zigbee sensor. To pair it with the official Tuya app by Drenso, you need a Tuya Zigbee or MultiMode gateway

Don’t expect too much from these other than that they have a tendency to flood your Zigbee network.

Is it not possible to install this directly using the Tuya app? Thats the way i did it with my plugs.

Maybe using Tuya Zigbee, but since that’s no longer maintained, I don’t think it will work.
