# Node.js / Homey HCS

Heey Heey,

Na een kleine 2 maanden aan de slag te zijn met Homey wordt ik er gelukkig steeds makkelijker mee. Inmiddels ben ik erachter gekomen dat er dus mogelijkheden zijn om Smartthings werkend te krijgen op Homey (correct me if im wrong?). Dit is geen officiele app via hier maar zou hem dus via Github moeten kunnen uploaden.

Nu heb ik inmiddels hier gelezen dat Homey HCS niet meer werkt, maar dat er een alternatief zou zijn genaamd Node.js waar ik dit dus ook mee zou moeten kunnen installeren. Ik heb de How-To geprobeerd te volgen maar ik loop helaas bij het begin al vast.

Ik heb gecheckt welke versie mijn Homey heeft en deze versie op mijn windows geinstalleerd. Vanaf het moment dat ik dan Homey wil aanroepen krijg ik gelijk een syntaxError. Wat doe ik fout of waar moet ik zoeken om dit te verhelpen?

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier

> npm install -g homey  
> npm should be run outside of the Node.js REPL, in your normal shell.

It seems you are nearly there. You just have open a normal Windows command prompt (type “command prompt” in the search box and the option to run it should appear) and type the npm commands, etc in there.

Thanks, i have tried the instruction above with the command prompt you told me. Now its getting further then i was. I was trying to install the Smartthings App. This is what i did?

In the end it get som error and it stops.

The GitHub repo doesn’t include the Node.js libraries, so just type  
npm install  
That will install the libraries specified in the package.  
Then do the install again

Niet definitief, er wordt wel aan een fix gewerkt.
