# No longer evil vs Homey

Hi all,

I have a nest thermostat gen2 (not supported by Google anymore) so I flashed No longer evil on it. The thermostat functions great and everything can bet managed from their webpage, they also have a plugin for HA but I was wondering if someone already managed linking it up with Homey?

They likely also have a local API in that case. Maybe you can look up their API docs and use the HTTP Request Flow cards flow the Logic category to control the thermostat

Yes I can make a local API but I’m kind of a noob on that part but I’m willing to learn. If you have any good tutorials or something that you would share.

I forgot to mention it, but in the API docs you can see it’s a cloud API. Something like this may work:

Replace [api key] with the API key you created on the No Longer Evil website. Replace the {deviceId} with the device ID
