Hmm, dann ist es doch ein grosser Problem als nur meines, wahrscheinlich. Ein paar geänderte Übersetzungen als neue Version zu betiteln ist sportlich und bestätigt meine Theorie, dass die Bridge die Entwicklung des Pro behindert. ---

Das würde ich nicht so sehen. Das 7.4 Update war größer als es scheint. Das NodeJS-Update war schon umfangreich. Und Athom hat das noch geteilt. NodeJS 16 für die Apps und die alte Version (12?) für den Core. Das alles, um den Entwicklern die Möglichkeit zu geben, die mit NJS16 kommenden Einschränkungen (App-Crash bei nicht abgefangenen Fehlern) als Log zu erhalten, ohne dass die Apps tatsächlich crashen (weitestgehend). Dieses Logging und Fehlerhandling war m.E. schon eine größere Sache. Später wird der Core sicher auch auf NJS16 gehoben. Der Aufwand, den Athom hier macht, um das NodeJS-Update für alle möglichst fehlerfrei hinzubekommen, ist nicht zu unterschätzen. Das sieht man nur leider nicht direkt. Und dass Homey die NodeJS-Basis aktuell jält, ist für mich ein Zeichen, dass man Homey (Pro) zukunftsfähig hält. Für mich als Entwickler besser als nette Gimmicks. Und ich hoffe, dass nachdem NodeJS Update noch ein paar neue Inhalte kommen. ---

Ich kann da leider nicht mit reden, da ich von NodeJS, überhaupt keine Ahnung habe und vertraue deiner Aussage. Also korrigiere ich meine Behauptung dahin gehend, dass es für nicht-Entwickler, keine nennenswerten Updates gab. Das lässt die Hoffnung zu, dass wir in Zukunft viele neue Features erwarten dürfen. ---

Frage: Ich habe noch 7.4.1 drauf. Ist es sinnvoll auf 7.4.3 zu gehen? Große (praktisch nutzbare) Neuerungen (außer NJS) hab ich hier nicht rausgelesen und never touch … Da man ja nicht mehr zurück kann, wie ich kürzlich feststellen durfte, hab ich noch etwas Bedenken davor. Oder ist das unbegründet? Danke für jeden Hinweis. ---

Wenn du einen kleine Pro hast (512MB Ram), dann würe ich noch warten. Der Speicherverbrauch ist recht hoch. Ich hoffe, der geht wieder runter, wenn auch der Core NodeJS16 verwendet. ---

Das hat aber lange gedauert !! Denn die Funktion ist im Januar (fälschlicherweise) im WEB-UI in der Nacht freigeschaltet worden. Die darauffolgende Diskussion hier war “seltsamerweise” am nächsten Morgen “verschwunden” …🤪… ---

Danke Ronny W und Undertaker. Meine Kugel hat zwar 1GB RAM, aber wenn es nichts besonders Neues gibt bleib ich erstmal auf 7.4.1. das läuft ruhig. ---

Ich kann mich ganz weit zurück erinnern, dass es mal hieß, wer die Backup Funktion freischaltet, darf sich noch auf weitere tolle Features freuen. Passiert ist nie etwas. Ich mache mir langsam Sorgen, dass es Homey-Neuerungen, irgendwann nur noch für Geld zu kaufen gibt und wir bei einem Abo-Modell landen. Ich schau mir zwar das Event an, aber werde zuerst eingehend prüfen, ob diese neuen Funktionen nicht auch mit dem kostenlosen Home Assistant umzusetzen, oder dort vielleicht bereits Standart sind. ---

Athom muss nun einfach auch was verdienen um neues entwicklen zu können. Mann kann das Modell nun einfach nicht mit HA vergleichen. Ich zahl gern fur was extra. Alles mitgenommen, finde ich Homey noch immer nicht zu teuer. ---

einfacher zu schachtelnde IFs wären schon ein Geschenk um nicht separiert in 100.000 Flows arbeiten zu müssen… 🙂 Bin gespannt! Oder eine Switch-Case Option… Wir werden sehen!
