Hi!
I just made migration from 2019 to 2023 Homey through a backup.
I have an issue with all my Z-Wave devices.

If I try to trigger a z-wave device, I get the error: Invalid node id.
In developer mode I haven’t any Z-Wave device.

Any hlp pls?

Thank you,
Zdenek

Make sure the ‘old’ Homey is turned off, and the 2023 model is sitting in the same spot; Also wait for while for the zwave mesh to build itself, can take a few hours.

If no result, I’d give this a go:
Reset Homey to factory defaults, then re-read the backup again.

Hi!
Thank you for your advice.
Homey 2019 is turned off and sitting in the spot.
I’ve been waiting for three hours and I can’t see any of my Z-Wave devices. No Z-Wave.
I’ve re-paired the Zigbee and every work.

Have you tried a Pull-the-plug of the HP23?

Yes, I tried. I disconnected the power for 10 minutes and reconnected. Unfortunately, nothing changed.

Yeah, a 3 hours wait should’ve show some results.

Did you try this already?

Z-Wave did not work, import of backup took quit long. But did factory reset and import for early version. In 5 min all z-wave devices where working again.
Thanks for the tip.

Migrating from HP2019 to 2026 and made factory reset and used the last recent 2019 backup. After 15 hours all my Z-wave of mixed brands have not connected yet. I would like to know if @AthomAthom@HomeySupportand @HomeySupport have any scientfic explanation what is preventing Z-wave from working when migrating?

Athom does not read this post. And there is enough written about this subject in other post on this forum.

Zwave chip was not ready and initiated when migration was started. Power on the 2023, wait an hour and then start the migration. Or perform the migration twice. No problem, no issues…

From Homey suport.

Feb 23, 2026, 15:10 GMT+1

It seems that other users have reported this issue as well, and I’ve shared all information with our development team.
While I can’t give an exact timeline, our development team is actively investigating these Z-Wave issues after migration from an older Homey to a new one.

I created a support ticket today, a product claim. Asked for urgent help since currently I cannot migrate with 50 z-wave devices and advanced flows since 2022.

Yesterdays’ firmware RC addressed the migrated z-wave device issues, but a few users reported a crippled zigbee functionality

To install, enable “[Experimental updates](https://homey.app/en-us/wiki/homey-pro-firmware-changelog/)” at the [developer site](https://homey.app/en-us/wiki/homey-pro-firmware-changelog/).
_Always disable that toggle right after installing (in case tou want to revert to stable firmware)_

The complete instruction to get the patch mentioned by Peter\_Kawa above, from Homey support:
”
We have however developed a fix for the Z-Wave issues after migration to a new Homey Pro.

If you currently do not have a backup of your Homey Pro (Early 2019), could you create a new backup first? For this process we will need a backup from a state where it already works, which is on your old Homey.

After making a backup of your Homey Pro (Early 2019), please ensure that it is no longer powered on to avoid network conflicts when restoring your Homey Pro (2026).

When you do have a backup of your Homey Pro (Early 2019), could you install an experimental update to your Homey Pro (2026)?
You can enable experimental updates by going to [https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/settings](https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/settings), select your Homey Pro (2026) on the top-left (under your user icon), then enable the slider “Enable experimental updates”
After enabling the experimental updates, please follow these steps on the Homey Mobile App

- Go to More (…)

- Go to Settings

- Go to Updates

- Tap Check for Updates

- Install the experimental update (12.13.0-rc.4)

More information about experimental updates can be found in the following article: [https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/12199889665308-Enabling-experimental-updates-on-Homey-Pro](https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/12199889665308-Enabling-experimental-updates-on-Homey-Pro).

After the update is installed and your Homey Pro (2026) has rebooted, please reset your Homey Pro (2026), using the pinhole at the bottom by holding it for 30 seconds until the Homey LED ring is pulsing red.
More information about resetting this way can be found in the following article: [https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/7261843930396-Resetting-Homey-Pro-to-factory-defaults](https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/7261843930396-Resetting-Homey-Pro-to-factory-defaults).

After that, set up your Homey Pro again, after setting up Wi-Fi again please wait 20 minutes before continuing
After that, restore the backup from your Homey Pro (Early 2019) again.
After restoring the backup, again wait 20 minutes before continuing to use the device. This way we can ensure that the Z-Wave network is initialised correctly.
