At with other protocols in Homey, its Matter implementation is a grabbag of items from different protocol versions. So _some_ parts of Matter 1.3 are supported, others aren’t (where the main driver for device supports seems to be “what LG makes”).

In short; the G5 Pro Hub will not support Matter 1.5 WebRTC streams directly. It will eventually support Matter functionality, but through a firmware upgrade for Aquara’s own controller.
Seems that Aquara didn’t announce a new outdoor camera yet at CES this month.
Any outdoor camera all of you are looking forward to that is going to have Matter 1.5 / Homey support?
Will have to buy two outdoor cameras somewhere the next few days, and am now considering buying the cheapest ones I can get, and replace them once new ones come available that do allow neatly integrating with Homey.

I’m quite sure I’ve read multiple press releases from Athom that stated that they are working with Aqara to support Matter 1.5 camera streaming. @Doekse ?

We are indeed working with Aqara on implementing Matter 1.5 camera support, it is not yet certain which camera’s will support it

On some of their current range they will, but [as confirmed by their PM](https://forum.aqara.com/t/the-matter-camera-plan-of-aqara/153159/28?u=rvanlaak), it requires buying their controller (which I prevent having to).
No other outdoor cams with local camera streaming incoming soon?

I’m also looking into integrating the other Aqara cameras by exposing their camera streams. In addition, we’re working on dedicated apps for Reolink and IMOU.

Any (W)LAN cam with ONVIF + RTSP should work.

It depends on how it connects. If it has ONVIF/RTSP or HTTP snapshot support, then they can integrate it easily. However, most cameras nowadays use proprietary P2P protocols for communication, which are often closed-source as well. So it’s highly unlikely that this will be supported if it doesn’t have ONVIF/RTSP support.

We’re currently working on a shared Matter stack together with our colleagues at LG. This shared stack will be based on Matter 1.5.
As for cameras, this is still very much TBD. We initially planned to introduce camera support alongside Matter 1.5, but it looks like several key details may still evolve in upcoming Matter versions. We’re keeping a close eye on developments and will also be testing with the new Aqara Camera Hub G350.
