# Login-local invalid credentials

Hello,

I’ve installed the **latest update** and I’m trying to connect **locally** using my **IP address**.  
I can access the **login page** , which asks for a **username and password**.

I enter **my email address** and the **same password** I use for the standard web console login,  
but I keep getting the message **“Invalid credentials.”**

I don’t understand where the problem is coming from.  
Could you please help me?

You need to create a local user here: [My Homey](https://my.homey.app/settings/system/family)

Then login with those credentials

Hi,

Well I followed the guide but can not get it to work.

When I want to add a new local user, I get this error: Already Accepted. But in the Homey app the invitation is still pending …

A bug?

No bug, you are trying to add an online user as it seems.
