# Local ip Dashboard

Hi i am new here i have homey pro and i want to ask i want to put the tablet on the wall how do i connect directly to homey pro to show me the dashboard ? If the internet goes out so i can control the home.

You need to use the Homey app on your tablet, the dashboards run inside the app, not on your Homey.

The ability to control your home if your internet connection is gone depends on whether the app has a valid access token. If not, you can’t control your home.

And how can I set it in the app to control it directly?

Nothing you can do yourself.  
It’s mainly controlled directly when your phone and Homey are at the same local network, which can be checked btw:  
Web app:

This is a bit untrue, because the web app runs @ cloud, and would be unusable without internet.

Mobile app:  
…More\>Settings\>General\>app

The authentication mechanism runs @ Athom’s servers every other 2 weeks.
