For anyone looking to connect Ledvance Wifi lights (and possibly plugs) to Homey, I have found a workaround. It is tested successfully on Ledvance Wifi Sun@Home Platon Plus light panel. 1. Connect the Ledvance app (Smart+ Wifi) as per instructions on the light source 2. Install Amazon Alexa app on your phone. Create an account if you do not have one. You do not need to own any Amazon devices. 3. In the Amazon App, add new device, choose Smart Light Light (Smart Life Plug should work for plugs). Connect to the Ledvnace/Smart Life account from step 1. 4. Install [https://homey.app/no-no/app/com.amazon.alexa/Amazon-Alexa/](https://homey.app/no-no/app/com.amazon.alexa/Amazon-Alexa/?fbclid=IwAR3k05kzfKBZaRDMjMQHLxsMx16xUTX9WFjZEff__i2Ucc-Qv-tHZbodm-c) on your Homey. Configure the app and connect to the Amazon account from step 2. 5. Add a new device on your Homey. Choose Amazon Alexa som produsent. Choose Smart Light at the bottom as type (or Smart Plug). 6. Enjoy! Brightness and color control works as expected. There is a slight delay (1-3 seconds) on commands, as they have to traverse both the Amazon cloud and the Ledvance Cloud. ---

It only partly work for me. I have the Ledvance Globe 125 RGBW bulb in the Alexa app and it works. I can control on/off, dim level and color. I have no problem adding it to Homey via the Amazon app as a Smart Light. I can control on/off and dim level, but not colors in Homey. Otherwise this solution would have been perfect for me. ---

I followed the guide without issues and the lights are now in Homey. But when I try to control them, I get a timeout after 10 seconds. I’ve tried restarting the Alexa app, restarting Homey and reconnecting. Any clues? 😮‍💨 ---

Had the same problem, and i just gave it up. Some have had positive result of using the US server for Alexa, but that didnt work for me. I ended up removing my Aqara motion sensor (that turned my Ledvance light on/off) from Homey, and add it to Alexa. Then just using a simple Alexa routine to control my Ledvance light. ---

These should work via the new Tuya app, no? Since Ledvance is Tuya based. ---

I have tried to use Amazon to use ledvance in homey, but has only 3 options to choose from turn on and off and toggle. So i did with SmartThings, there is more options, but it seem like the random color function is not working. i’ve bought the Ledvance smart tube T8, couldn’t find it with the amazon alexa app in Homey, the SmartThings community app has only 3 options(no lights), the SmartThings official app also has no lights… How could i possibly add this smart tube into Homey? ---

Eventually I got tired of messing around with Alexa and SmartThings, so I wrote a Homey app specifically for Ledvance WiFi devices. It uses a direct local connection to the Tuya-based device on your network, which makes it much faster. To use it, you just need to pair your devices with the official Ledvance mobile app, then copy the MAC address, Virtual ID, and Local Key into the Homey app to add the device to your smart home.
