Had my Homey Pro for a week, and began setting up my Google Home about 5 weeks ago (before discovering Homey)

I have KASA KS-240 fan/light controllers in each room, and they work with Google Assistant fine, but neither of the KASA apps allow me to access the switches with Homey, so I cannot set up flows with my SONOFF presence sensors

I see somewhere about virtual switches, but I have no idea what this is.

NOTE: I am not a coder, so I’m looking for a more generic solution if possible

Any help, or solutions would be greatly appreciated

Did you check if those fan/light controllers are actually supported by these Kasa apps?
I didn’t find anything which looks / sounds like one @ homey.app app pages

The only thing you can do is

- request for device support
- return them and purchase supported devices
- use a virtual device to control them via Ghome
Howto:
[Controlling devices at Google Home from Homey? - #8 by Peter\_Kawa](https://community.homey.app/t/controlling-devices-at-google-home-from-homey/73201/8)

BUT:
A standard virtual switch doesn’t do the trick anymore

You’ll have to use a virtual kettle (or lock, but a “kettle device type” mimics a switch better):

> Yeah that seems to be the case, unfortunately. But, after quite a while of experimenting, I found out it still works with a virtual lock - literally ‘lock’. There’s no ‘unlock’ available for Ggl routines as far as I could find. EDIT: setting device class to “Kettle” works great. The [advanced virtual device](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-advanced-virtual-device-device-capabilities-app-with-unique-text-status-indicator/68198): With the avd settings, I use the shower light (“Spiegel lamp Badkamer”) to control the lock, without any flows:

(Maybe there’s other device classes which work as well, but I didn’t try [all 79 of 'em](https://apps-sdk-v3.developer.homey.app/tutorial-device-classes.html))
