Yep, the 10 tips article are one of the main reasons that I went with Aruba access points and not Unifi.

Great articles, Chris, it shows it’s all still (very) beta and only working “flawlessy with any device” on the marketing level.
Now these articles should be added to the knowledge base imho…

The article does not even mention these brands. And I am running a full Unifi stack at home without any issues ….

Read past that. Oops.
It states that you have to know what your doing if you use something more advanced network gear than a simple home network router. Still no reason to state that you should use Aruba in stead of Unifi.

I think he means that Aruba Instant On is less advanced than UniFi. I used to have an InstantOn AP11 and it’s a bit more basic setup than Unifi, Omada or Zyxel Nebula

“Solutions like Unifi by Ubiquiti or TP-Link Omada feature firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and other mechanisms that filter traffic. These can prevent mDNS messages from propagating freely or block local IPv6 traffic. As a result, Matter products may perform poorly or not work at all in such environments.”

It’s by no means basic, it’s just more reliable.
My dad installs huge mesh networks in schools all over the south east of the UK
Many went with Unifi and they are now breaking often and plagued with issues, so he’s been replacing entire networks with Aruba which have been shown to be more reliable over the long term (10-20 years)

Oh, that’s news to me.
I’ve been running a UniFi network for years and have never had any issues with it, nor have I heard of any from my customers..🤷♂️..
