Since I configured my own Homey dashboard I want to add some insights for barometers.
I added one for the last hour and one for the last 24 hours.
If you have seen a standard barometer then you know the scale runs from 750 - 1050 hPa. So does the scale from Insights as well.
It only doesn’t make sense when there’s only a little difference in the pressure. Mostly the barometer is running around 1000 hPa. A difference of 10 hPa can make a huge difference in the weather.
Question:
Is it possible to make an adjustable scale for the pressure? Otherwise adjustable in dashboard?

There is a little difference today but almost invisible in Insights.

Is it possible to change the y-axis scale for the barometric pressure ?

In the app the scale starts at “1k” and ends with “1.5k”. That is not a usable scale in my opinion.

 ![Homey Baro App](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/3/8/383eaea7557e2ce97841a045e4c522b7a60c2460.png)

In the Web App it is slightly better, the max and min values determine the scale limits, but on the y-axis every value is displayed as “1k”.

It would be nice to see a range from 950 to 1050 or so.
Also the “Last Hour” scale is different from the others, it has a window of 1000mbar (200-1k2) vs 500 mbar (1k-1k5 or 900-1k4) on the other graphs.

Regards,
Mike

Good idea. I had the same question several weeks ago.

I sent a request to Athom about just this in October. I also requested the ability to use the mobile app in landscape mode. This was the answer:

_Hi,_

_Thank you for contacting support._

_The mobile app insights are there for a ‘quick view’. So it isn’t created for analyzing or something but just for a quick look._
_Landscape mode isn’t available for the whole mobile app. Only for a tablet or PC. So if you want to have a better resolution you could use a tablet or PC."_

So I guess Athom doesn’t think this is a priority.

A little off topic…but can I ask what unit you are using for the barometric pressure? I have been looking for one that works with Homey and have only found the Aqara multisensor…which I don’t think is sensitive enough.

Sorry to say, i use the Aqara WSDCGQ11LM, it’s good enough for me 🙂

That’s the one I have too…but I don’t really like it. It doesn’t have decimal and it updates to seldom for my taste. I like to have precise measurements fast. 😀

Found this experiencing the same issue with Y-axis for barometric pressure.

By accident I stumbled upon the Datavista app that has some widgets for graph, gauge etc.

At least for me that graph widget does a much better job adjusting the Y-axis limits to fit barometric pressure.

That kinda sucks… with big phone screens these days (like iPhone Pro Max) they’re like a small tablet, so landscape view would be really really helpful. Plus, if the code is there to do it for tablets, surely that means there isn’t a huge rewriting needed to enable it on mobile phones?

I guess it’s all about priorities and this is apparently not a priority for Athom.

On a more general note I can’t understand that people don’t seem to use barometers more. It’s by far the best source for predicting the weather…and we all know that most people care about the weather. 😁

The Aqara temp & humidity sensors I have come with built in barometer.

I have found the scaling on a number of insight graphs a bit naff… like when I use the oven while the dishwasher or washing machine is running, the energy graphs max out and flatline at some arbitrary value that’s significantly less than the hover over value correctly displays… making the graphs pretty useless as a quick view 🤦🏼‍♂️ _ **double facepalm** _
