# I'm building a Homey Pro app for Solis inverters (beta). Looking for testers with other Solis models

Hi all,

I’m building a Homey app for **Solis inverters**. I’m a beginner with Homey and Modbus, so I try to keep it simple. It runs on my own Solis S6 (single phase) with a Homey Energy Dongle (P1) and a dynamic contract from 2027. It’s a **beta** : I could only test on one inverter so far.

**What it does now**

- Live production, usage and grid over Modbus through the datalogger (no cloud needed)
- Its own dashboard in the browser and on the TV (Kodi/CoreELEC), nine pages: Sun, Power, Details, Insight, Overview, Dynamic, Usage, Smart and Settings
- Hourly prices for dynamic contracts, cheapest and most expensive hours, and a plan for tomorrow
- Control by price: no export or off when the price is too low or negative
- Notifications: faults, good moment to start appliances, tomorrow’s prices, daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Arm appliances for the best moment, also from the TV with a PIN
- Traffic light for a lamp (green, orange, red) and flow cards for everything
- Smart cards: standby usage, shade and dirt, monthly budget, payback time, CO2, records and streaks
- CSV export and backup

Screens above use sample data.

**Other brands?** If there is enough interest, I may look into supporting other inverter brands too (for example Growatt, Huawei or SMA). No promises, but let me know in the replies with brand and model.

**What I’m looking for:** people with a different Solis inverter who want to look along or test. Every inverter talks a bit differently and I want to know which ones work.

**Please reply with:**

1. Your inverter **type number** (on the rating plate, for example S6-GR1P2.5K-M)
2. How it’s connected (S2-WL-ST datalogger or another one, wifi or cable)
3. Single or three phase
4. Whether you think it works already, and what you’d like to see

The app is not in the Homey App Store yet. I can have you test it with the Homey CLI; just ask in the replies.
